WPPI CONVENTION- (My best gig ever)

So for the last 2 days, I've been working the WPPI convention as a model for Bambi Cantrell- When professional photographers discuss who's going to speak on wedding photography at their next convention, Bambi Cantrell’s name always comes up. All one has to do is pick up her best-selling book "The Art of Wedding Photography" and they will realize why her cutting edge images have appeared in magazines like Martha Stewart living, the Professional Photographer, American Photo, Time Magazine, and Ebony Magazine just name a few.
Bambi Cantrell's creativity does not stop with weddings, she is also well-known for family portraiture and commercial work. Photography is her passion and love. Her images expressed that. (http://www.cantrellportrait.com)

I worked with 4 other awesome models, Suzanne, Alice, Vanessa, and Skyler (sounds like my kind of party...j.k) and we basically got used as practice dummies for the photographers in Bambi's Seminar/class- which was awesome cos these guys got really great shots (which hopefully they'll send us CD's of). It was just amazing to watch photographers utilize natural light to its full advantage- making use of everything thats already there- and even cooler, was enjoying Bambi's shooting style. I'll post a video as soon as I get a hold of one- She's just phenomenal.

Towards the end of the second day, We got to meet another celebrated photographer (Matthew Jordan Smith- This guy shoots Oprah, Tyra Banks, Samuel Jackson, etc- You can read his full bio on his Site (website: http://www.matthewjordansmith.com)- and it was a real privilege to meet this guy, and even more of an honor that he shot me- with bambi's Camera. The 2 photographing styles were polar opposites and yet they're like best friends and work so well together- All I could do was put whatever I thought I knew about photography, in a little holding box, and just watch and learn as much as I could from these guys-

Getting paid Cash, and having my whole portfolio get shot in 2 days, with an added bonus of meeting these amazing photography Icons- I'd call this a priceless experience, and my best gig to date :)
